A Winter Wonderland In Peisey-vallandry

High up in the French Alps, Peisey-Vallandry is a village situated in the dramatic landscape of peaked, snow-capped mountains and dense forests. The town is the home of the amazing Vanoise Express, which is a double-decker cable car that can carry 200 people; it links Peisey-Vallandry as a connecting point to the internationally known Les Arcs and la Plagne ski resorts. When it was first constructed in 2003 it was the fastest and also the longest cable car in the world, crossing the valley in less than four minutes.

With Peisey-Vallandry as a central hub for the entire Paradiski ski area which contains over 400 kilometres of ski slopes there is plenty of interest for experienced and highly skilled skiers, with athletes coming from all over to experience the off-piste ski areas in Les Arcs. Most of the off-piste skiing has easy access to to the main lifts, making it a cinch to get to these pleasant and beautiful natural slopes with some of the best skiing around.
