Hello,
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S4. Under Language and Input, the keyboard default shows "Swype - Swype". Google Voice Typing is checked; Samsung keyboard and Swype are grayed out. Under Speech, Voice recognizer is set to Google. I've found that this combination gives the best voice recognition accuracy. (I tried installing Swype from the Play store and using Dragon, I guess it was, but it was less accurate.) When I long-press on the Swype key, under Settings, Auto-capitalization is checked. There is no About key, but Updates says to check back later, so it must be current. In the device's App info page, I see Swype is version 1.5.4.15970.
Voice recognition works quite well, except for the capitalization issue. I dictate one sentence at a time, usually with a closing period. If I manually press the Space bar, the Shift key is automatically pressed, and if I were to continue swyping by hand, the first word would be capitalized. However, if I instead press the microphone icon and start speaking, the words are recognized but the first letter is in lowercase. This means that when I am done with a paragraph, I have manually tap after the first letter of each sentence, backspace, and re-type the letter manually as a capital letter. Arduous, to say the least!
This seems to be the same problem that was reported and logged as a bug in September 2011:

How can I get voice recognition to capitalize the first letter of each sentence?
