Scheduled qualifying for the 35th annual Horace Billings Rowan County Amateur ended on Sunday at Corbin Hills. Fifty-four players battled wet conditions over three days of qualifying.
Ronnie Eidson led qualifiers with a 3-under 69.
Brad Vinson, Tyler Mulkey, Barry Curlee, Carl Moore and Gary Miller shot 81s, and those five golfers compete today at 5:30 p.m. in a sudden-death playoff for the final two spots in the field.
Match play begins on Friday at 2:45 p.m. Tournament pairings and tee times will be announced after today?s playoff.

? Roy Dixon III (Salisbury) shot 73 on the final day of the Carolinas Amateur at Kiawah Island and finished tied for 16th at 10-over 298.
Raleigh?s Carter Jenkins won the event by shooting even-par 288.
? The McCanless Couples played a Captain?s Choice format on Sunday.
The winning team members were David Huneycutt, Eileen Full, Bev Cobb and Ricky Honeycutt.
The second-place team was Tim Earnhardt, Phyllis Myers, Frank Foster, Glen Trexler and Harry Owens.
Gene Seaford won longest putt, while Honeycutt won closest to the pin.
Junior Legion
West Rowan won 4-3 at Kernersville on Sunday to even the best-of-three series at a game apiece.
Margarito Romero, Hunter Shepherd and Tyler Poteat had two hits each. Lee Poteat had a double. Kacey Otto and Austin Love also had hits.
Shepherd was the winning pitcher. Love got a save.
West will play again at Kernersville tonight at 7.
Both teams will be in the state tournament that starts on Friday at Kernersville.
American Legion
Easton Welch pitched eighth strong innings, and Hunter Jobe closed out a 4-1 Randolph County road victory over the Mooresville Moors in Game 1 of a best-of-five, third-round series on Sunday.
With Randolph (27-5) down 1-0 in the fourth, Kyle Smith, Jake Hall and Troy Burr had consecutive doubles. Will Albertson had a two-run single in the eighth.
Braeden Daniels pitched well for the Moors.
Game 2 is at McCrary Park in Asheboro tonight. The Moors (19-11) are 15-1 on the road this season.
Intimidators baseball
Juan Ramirez hit his first homer of the season, a three-run blast in the eighth, to lead the Kannapolis Intimdators to a 7-5 win against Greensboro on Sunday.
Basketball camp
Coaches Luke Fisher and Shakira Humble are offering a basketball camp at Salisbury Academy for girls who will be in 4th-9th grades.
The camp is July 15-18 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The cost is $25 a day or $80 for the full camp. You do not have to be enrolled at SA to attend.
