WWC: The God Who Loved The World Called Terra

As life began on the small world called Terra, gods were born. They were given the task of creating life and naming them, from the annoying insects, to the largest of beasts. 204 gods were created to rule over the land until it was time for them to leave the world called Terra and start anew. Such was the task given to the 204, and as this was their first world, they gave it everything they had. Even, among those who could, give their Life Blood. The Life Blood is silver-blue in color and one single drop can cure the sick, give life to those who have fallen, and even create wondrous creatures the world has never seen. One such god had this gift, among others, and loved the world called Terra more than any other god. He gave Terra mighty beasts that were fiercely loyal to each other, who would fight as one, and when one was sick or injured they would protect it. He called them his children, and loved them as much, if not more, than the world called Terra.

To keep the balance, however, others had the Blood of the Forsaken. It had the power to destroy with a single drop. It was used to create great deserts, plagues and other maladies, and to simply kill. One god had this, as others did, and used it to create a desert so large that it encompassed a land from sea to sea, granting only a small portion of the land to retain its green. He then went to the god who loved the world called Terra fiercely, and asked with great humility, ?If you shall will it, let my children come forth from the land of sun and sand. To stand before all and be proclaimed as the greatest of keepers of knowledge. And let my children go forth and record the great and lesser histories of the world called Terra.?

And the god who loved the world called Terra said unto him, ?Go. Go to the lands of your charge, and spill this jar of my blood upon the earth. And when the last drop hast spilt onto the earth, strike your hand and spill your blood into mine and your children will come forth and be born upon the land of sun and sand. They will be then tasked to record all great and lesser histories of the world called Terra and guard and keep its secrets close to their hearts.?

The god did so and rejoiced as his children were born in the land of sun and sand. He gave them then the task of recording the world called Terra?s great and lesser histories, so that all may one day know what has happened before their own time. He would watch them always, and as he did so he began to prophesy unto his children from the land of sun and sand. He said unto them, ?Go. Go to the lands farthest from here. Go when the world called Terra cries in agony, to the place of our birth. Our place of birth will be the only place of safety for you, my children. For when the world called Terra cries out in agony, we shall answer and bring great and terrible destruction upon those who would harm it.?

He then gathered the other gods and did prophesy unto them saying, ?As the final sun sets upon the world called Terra a proclamation will be given to us, my brethren. This proclamation will be given to us by the All Father and He will call upon us and say, ?Return. Return to the First Home. Return to the world called Terra, for such is the pain it feels that it screams in agony. Go. Go and bring terrible destruction upon those who would do harm to the world called Terra. And bring peace unto the creatures gathered there in the world called Terra.??

The gods were saddened by his prophecy, and knew that nothing they could say or do would prevent such an event from happening. Though they returned diligently to their work, they knew that the creatures would perish in later eons. For many eons the gods worked tirelessly, creating such wondrous creatures the world called Terra would nurture and strengthen through the evolution that would one day be called Man.

The world called Terra was finished soon afterwards, and the All Father sent a messenger. And that messenger said unto them, ?Go. Go to the stars and create more wondrous worlds that His children may inhabit and flourish under His guidance.?

The gods turned to their children then and bid them farewell. However, two gods stayed behind longer than the other gods. One was the god who loved the world called Terra, and the other was the god who created his children to record both great and lesser histories of the world. The god who loved the world called Terra said unto his children, ?I must leave you, my children, and in doing so sentenced you all to a life of hardship. The All Father?s children will come to love you, yes, and give you succor so that you might live forever with them. They will also destroy you in a manner that benefits them, for your fur is soft and they will covet them greatly for they have none. Forgive me, my children, for you will suffer long before I am able to return and save you.? The god turned from them and rose up from the world called Terra and joined the other gods in their work to create more wondrous worlds.

The last god on the world called Terra turned to his children with such sorrow that made his children weep. He said unto them, ?My children forgive me,? he fell to his knees and wept openly before them. So moved by their fathers sorrow that they knelt and embraced him, and in doing so, they wept openly. ?My children, forgive me, I beg of you. For I have seen your fate and it is terrible. My children, I have sent my eyes into the far future and have seen the utter destruction of you all. The creatures known as Man will come to know you all, and in so doing, fear you terribly. And their fear shall turn to anger, and their anger shall turn to hatred against you all. My children forgive me, for I have seen you all dead, your children fed to their tamed animals, and your eggs smashed upon the ground. O my children, O my precious children.? He wept even more, and the ground shook as he wept so openly. And as he wept, the All Father took pity on him, filling his heart with love, and his soul with joy. And the god was then shown a vision, and as he watched he saw his children thriving in a cavern under the world called Terra.

?O my children, O my precious children. I have been given a wondrous gift, which I now pass onto you. And that gift is this: you will survive in a cavern under the world called Terra. And there none shall harm you, where you will be made safe to continue the task set for you.? He then turned to the heavens and gave his thanks to the All Father. He then turned to his children and, bidding them farewell, rose up the world called Terra to join the other gods in creating new and wondrous worlds.

Many, many eons have passed since the gods created and named the creatures on the world called Terra. Many eons of creating new and wondrous creatures, worlds and stars. They took it upon themselves to create their own worlds, separate from the galaxies of the All Father. Worlds of great forests, of rivers and lakes, worlds of greater oceans that drowned out the land, and worlds wreathed in flame. All these worlds, great and lesser, were created, and for a time the gods were filled with joy.

As more time had passed, the world called Terra began to weep with great agony. For the humans with which it had born began to destroy much of its green, and taint its water. In retaliation, the world called Terra flung its anger into the humans, but the humans responded by erecting great structures with which to combat the anger of the world called Terra. The world called Terra then sent its plagues, its famine, and many other maladies in order to cripple the human race. The humans created a habitable home upon the moons and distant worlds and had created a cure for the plagues and maladies, as well as fresh foods and clean water was sent back to the world called Terra. As the humans continued to harm the world called Terra, the world called Terra pleaded to the All Father for guidance and relief.

And the All Father looked upon the world called Terra and said unto it, ?Peace, peace. Know that I have heard your pain and your sorrow. And know that I have called for My Sons and My Daughters to help you in your plight.?

And the world called Terra began to weep with joy as it saw the Sons and Daughters of the All Father stand before it with their many star ships and their own children. The Sons and Daughters of the All Father turned to the world called Terra and said, ?Sleep, sleep O First Home. Sleep and know pain no more. Sleep and dream of peaceful dreams, where sorrow is washed from your eyes and pain has vanished from your body. Sleep O First Home, and know that we are here and no human shall ever harm you again.?

The gods who born the world called Terra turned to its inhabitants and sent forth their children. They gave their children one simple task, ?Destroy the humans of the world called Terra, do not promise mercy, do not give them succor. Do not mourn their passing, for they do not deserve your pity.? In so saying this, they unleashed their children and sent them to purge the world clean of their taint.

The battle was fierce; it had lasted for many cycles. And when it was over, not one human stood on the face of the world called Terra. The children of the gods were then sent back to the star ships as the gods set the world called Terra into flames. The god who loved Terra watched it burn, and as he did so, he fell to his knees and wept mightily at the destruction the humans have caused. He wept for the children of the gods, for the mighty beasts of the world called Terra, and for the land itself. He wept, and as he wept, his tears fell onto the world called Terra and extinguished the hungry flames that so devoured the world called Terra.

He wept, and as he wept, new life was created on the world called Terra. The great beasts, the endless seas of grass, sand, and trees, all were made whole once more. And with this the gods and the children of the gods came back to the world called Terra and took it upon themselves to restore the world called Terra to its former glory.

The god who loved the world called Terra went deep into the bowels of the world called Terra and came upon a chamber near its center. He travelled for many moons searching for the avatar of the world called Terra and had at last found her. She was beautiful; her eyes were of blackest night, her skin pale, but smooth as glass, her hair like molten silver, flowed through the air, though no wind was present. She was fast asleep when the god who loved the world called Terra came upon her.

He bent himself and lifted her as she slumbered peacefully. Her head nestled against his chest and her body held in his arms, he took her from her chamber and into the world outside. ?Awaken,? he whispered gently in her ear as they exited the world below, ?Awaken, O my love, awaken and know pain no more.?
She awoke and marveled at the blue skies and seas, the green oceans of grass and trees. As well as the sand that was no longer sheets of broken glass. The god who loved the world called Terra placed the avatar down onto the ground and began to kneel before her. ?No,? she said to him, ?No you do not kneel before me. It is I who should kneel in gratitude to you.? In so saying this she knelt before him.

The god who loved the world called Terra knelt in front of her. He lifted her head with his right hand and said unto her, ?No man, god, or creature should you kneel to. No, it is WE that should do so.? He took her by her hands and lifted the avatar to her feet. He then knelt in front of her, still holding her hands he stared into her eyes and professed his love for her. He spoke of her world and how much has changed. He promised to stand by her side for all time, even if the All Father commands him to leave, he would defy him and stay with the avatar of the world called Terra. He told her that he would do much and go far for her, even lay down his immortal life to keep her from harm.

So overwhelmed by emotion, the avatar of the world called Terra could not speak. The god who loved the world called Terra saw this, and, nodding to himself, turned to leave her. Hands grabbed his and he was spun around to face the blushing avatar. The avatar of the world called Terra then reached up with her hands and kissed the god who loved her. Their kiss lasted for as long as it must, and when they both parted, they called to the gods and their children to come and witness them.

Many millennia have past since the world called Terra was removed of the humans who so nearly destroyed her, and all were at peace. No wars marred the planet for it was decided that all battles would take place far away and in the dead of space. All were happy, especially the Avatar of the world called Terra and her mate the god who loved her so. They were blessed with many children and would have many more to come.

However, all was not peaceful in the mind of one god. The god who prophesied dreamed a dream that was most terrible. Within that dream he saw the world called Terra in flames once more. The humans that were expunged from the world have returned and tried to drive the gods and their children from it. In the dream he saw the god who loved the world called Terra, indeed, lay down his immortal life to drive the humans away, but something went wrong and the world called Terra vanished. It had disappeared to a place outside of this dimension and only the children of the Avatar and god who loved her would be able to find it.

The humans would learn about this after the war and began a search that would drive the children of the gods to near extinction. The humans would then enslave the remainder of the gods? children and bend them to their wills. As all things go, the god who prophesied saw that a child of both avatar and god would rise up among all and lead the children of the gods to the world called Terra and live there in peace. Before he could discover what the child?s name was, he awoke.

The god who prophesied rushed out of his home and called out to all and when all were present he told them what he had dreamed. The gods and the children of the gods did not like what they had heard and began to prepare for the war that would come from the humans so far away. The gods called all of their children, even those who were warring with each other, to come and help prepare for the coming of the humans.

And so they prepared for a war in which they might not survive. The gods sent their youngest children to their home worlds and hid the worlds from the eyes of men. The avatar of the world called Terra and the god who loved her decided to send their children to the other worlds in hope that they may one day find them and be together once more. The god who loved the avatar of the world called Terra gathered all his children together in order to bid them farewell. As a parting gift, the Avatar and the god who loved her gave each of their children a gift; a power. No two powers were alike, however, and with their gifts they left the world called Terra to live with their cousins on separate worlds.

The humans arrived shortly after and began to attack the gods and the children who chose to remain. The battle was deadly, many humans and children of the gods were slain. The humans, no matter how hard they fought, could not gain an inch of their home world back from the gods and their children. An idea came to the mind of one human that if they could not have the world called Terra, neither shall they.

The humans began to bombard the world called Terra with missiles filled with explosives or nuclear liquids. The world called Terra began to burn and crack. The avatar of the world called Terra was dying. The god who loved her, called the other gods together and told them that they must leave. For, just as the god who prophesied had said, he laid down his immortal life to expunge the humans from the world called Terra once more.

The gods bade him farewell, and, as they vanished, so too did the world called Terra.
